La Peñita RV Park Rules

We hate rules but these ones are okay.

1. It is imperative that people SMILE. It is especially important to smile when you can be seen by other people.

2. If you are passing someone you do not know SMILE when you greet them. Introduce yourself.

3. It is important to enjoy your surroundings so spend at least 5 minutes per day looking at the view. It is permitted to enjoy the view from one of the coveted pads . (For newcomers the “coveted pads” are those on the hill with an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. They are normally occupied by people who have been coming for many years and waited in line for these sites. ) If and when you do visit these sites to enjoy the view it is a good idea to leave when meals are served (unless you manage to get invited to eat) There are many other viewpoints, including the Palapa, the beach, and many pads.

4. It is mandatory to LAUGH OUT LOUD at least once per day. If you have a problem with this just visit the pool at 10 o’clock every morning. You will find twenty or more people in the pool, lined up on either side of a net. Just get in and follow the person beside you when they change position. Occasionally call out “service” or “out” and at least, raise your arms when the ball comes in your direction. If you still have a problem LAUGHING OUT LOUD then follow the person with the heartiest laugh.

5. Pets try to stay on their own sites. Occasionally a pet, cat, dog or ? Will decide to take a walk and may come your way. It is a good idea to keep some leftovers or some really good treats to serve them. If they leave an unwelcome calling card please inform their owners so they can remedy the situation.

6. Keep you pets happy so they don’t bark or annoy others. Clean up after them.

7. Electricity is very expensive in Mexico. Help us to keep costs down. Please refrain from using your air conditioning or electric dryers.  Most people find fans and open windows are sufficient.

8. To find out what is going on in the park or in town you should read the bulletin board, located at the office, daily. If you don’t read it you may miss out on something important.

9.  Do not put toilet paper in your toilet or ours. Septic systems in Mexico are different than at home. Sewer and holding tank clog ups aren't fun.

10. Thou shall not covet thy neighbors'  pad. (at least while they are still here)

11. If you don’t like something TELL US. If you do like something tell EVERYONE.

12. If you have a hobby or a talent you would like to share let us know. We love to offer classes and workshops.

13. Please drive slowly in the park. The crashing noise you make when you go over topes too fast is disturbing .

14. Diesel engines are loud and smelly. If your truck isn't moving, turn it off.

15. Carry one of our business cards with you so you can contact us if you get lost or if you need assistance.

If you treat your neighbors the way you want to be treated and respect your surroundings, everyone should have a wonderful holiday.
