Pig Roast

Every February 14 we have the PIG ROAST.  A pig is stuffed with fruits and vegetables and cooked in the ground for several hours then served buffet style with lots of tasty delights.  There is a theme each year, decided the year before so people can make costumes or bring supplies. There are prizes for best costume. We hire a popular band, The Perez Brothers and have a great party.  So much fun.

Other themes

Other theme parties come along from time to time. The last was a surprise for Grant. Grant is known for his attire. Straw hat, grey shirt, shorts and black socks. Shirley got 150 pairs of black socks and gave them out to everyone.  People dresses in the grey shirts, shorts, black socks and straw hats. Grant came up to Hamburger night and there he was about 100 times.  He said he always new he was a trend setter!
